The stained glass windows of St. Anthony's Church at each of the entrances were installed at the time of the restoration of the glass doors in 2006. The original doors and glass at each entrance way were not "thermal" glass and were in poor shape after thirty-eight years of use. We configured the new thermal glass openings to fit the installation of the stained glass panels places on each side of the doorway.
The stained glass showing the various scenes of Jesus were taken from Holy Rosary Church in Holyoke, MA when the church was torn down many years ago. The windows were made for Holy Rosary when the church was built in 1865. Designed and executed in Innsbruck, Austria, they are priceless examples of an art which has been lost. The beautiful colors and workmanship are irreplaceable. Through the efforts of skilled workers from St. Anthon's parish, we were able to preserve and repair these beautiful windows and install them into our present setting. Thus, we have retained the antiquity and original beauty of the windows- preserving them for many years to come.
